British Isles Tourism - Travel to British Isles
The British Isles are a group of large islands in the north of Europe.
Be aware that the term "British Isles" is regarded with disfavor in some quarters, most noticeably in the Republic of Ireland. Although intended as a geographical expression it can be confused with its previous meaning which included political and other aspects. The phrase "Britain, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands" is politically neutral and geographically similar enough for most situations.
